One evening last month Carrie, Adam, and I strolled around the Longwood Medical area to get some portraits of them together in the places where they first met, worked, and spent time together. Before I started doing photography full-time I worked around that area too so it was fun to revisit it and also to discover little nooks that I’d never known about. So looking forward to shooting their wedding at the Boston Public Garden this weekend! Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session.
Laura and Brian both live in Connecticut, and a couple of weeks ago we met up for their engagement session at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford which is right near where Brian went to college and where they’d often visit together. The park is beautiful, with gardens and a beach set on the Long Island Sound. It was one of those too-chilly-for-spring days but I think it worked out in our favor because we essentially had the whole place to ourselves! I can’t wait to photograph their intimate wedding this weekend at Le Meridien here in Cambridge, MA. Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session!
My brother Rob (or Bobby, as he will forever be known to me!) came to visit the east coast last month with Janice, and while we focused mostly on spending time with our family, we also squeezed in an engagement session. Janice and Rob met in New York and both lived there for a while before moving to San Francisco, so it only made sense to capture the two of them in the city that helped shape their relationship and holds so many special memories. Over the years I’ve watched them grow as a couple, maintaining the beautiful balance of opening each other up to new adventures while keeping each other grounded and always supporting each other through life’s changes, big or small. They also happen to be one of the cutest couples I know. :) I couldn’t be happier for my little brother (doesn’t matter that he’s taller, he will forever be little to me!) and am so excited to see him and Janice tie the knot in just a couple of months!
Miranda and Andrew and I met in Cohasset a few weeks ago for their engagement session. Though they currently live in Brooklyn, Cohasset is where Miranda is from, so we stopped by a few of her favorite spots including Sandy Beach, the town common, and the harbor. It was fun to hear stories about how they met, their plans for the wedding, and what it was like for Miranda growing up in such a small town. We even saw the house she grew up in, which made for an emotional moment. These two are so sweet together, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in just a couple of weeks!
I only just met Xay for the first time during this shoot, but I have known May for several years now. She is such a sweetheart so I wasn’t surprised to find that Xay is too. It’s always heartwarming to see a couple so giddy about each other but even more so when they are friends of yours! May and Xay are getting married in Central Park in New York next week, and I could not be more excited to document their wedding!
