My name is Jen Ing, and I am a wedding photographer serving Boston, New England, and beyond. My work is a mix of documentary and lifestyle photography. In addition to the in-between moments and personal details that make up the story of your wedding day, I also strive to capture the laughter, embraces, and points of connection that make your relationship unique.

How did I get here? I moved to Boston in 2008 looking for a change, and in the process of ‘finding myself’ I found that I love photographing weddings. Along the way I’ve met amazing couples and families, experienced some of the most meaningful moments in peoples’ lives, and continue to pinch myself when I think about how I get to capture all of this with my camera. Shortly after Richard and Alex’s engagement session at the Liberty Hotel in January, I received a message from Brittany Blando of Beantown Bride that she wanted to feature the session on her blog as well as interview me about winter/indoor engagements! I am SO excited because 1) Richard and Alex’s engagement session is one of my favorites, 2) I think this is a fantastic topic to cover and is so relevant to the Boston area, and 3) they’re the first same-sex couple (or one of the first) featured on the site! You can imagine I was very happy to contribute in all three aspects. And how timely, as I just started to write a little about my engagement sessions in yesterday’s post! :)
